Underworld: Traffic goes live in the Android Market

news-uw-android-stuffHappy to announce that Underworld is finally ready for Android users! If you are one of them, just stop reading this, search the Market on your device for ‘Underworld’ and join the underground of street trade right away!

OK, so what’s noteworthy about the Android version of the game?

Original game theme. After more than a year since Underworld was first submitted to the AppStore (and then rejected after unreasonably long reviewing period) we are finally proud to present the game in its original theme of the grey trade. Yep. Real controlled substances instead of gummy bears and lollipops! Sorry AppStore folks, we did what we could.

Shared game world. As we promised before, the Android players have joined the current world that exists for iPhone/iPod Touch dealers. We think it’s totally OK considering how many of SweetDeal players already use the SD2DL re-skin plug-in bringing the original grey theme to the AppStore version of the game.

UW Points to boost your performance. Many iPhone/iPod Touch players have already forgotten the UW Points and switched to in-app purchase mechanics. Unfortunately, Android Market doesn’t support micro-transactions. Not sure if it will at all. So, if you want to boost your rising to the top of the Cream of the Crop, there are plenty of UW Point packs to use. Tap the U-shaped icon in the game to get to know more.

The great thing about opening Underworld to new platforms is new players. Which not only make the game more interesting (rule #1 of MMO gaming), but also give a lot of feedback.     App doesnt show up in marketplace, even if you scan the qr code from androlib. I have talked to a few people who cant get this app to show up

    Cj, we have no Cydia source right now. But the drug patch is distributed by someone else: search Cydia for ‘SD2DL’, you should be able to find it. Although I’m not sure if it’s up-to-date with the latest release of the game.

    matt, they are already there. Version 1.4 has the delivery jobs. You should probably open the AppStore on your iPod and update the game.

    I got mytouch w android 1.6…no delivery jobs yet. I cant take out another loan either, sweet game tho. Dont own ipod.

    I CAN’T FIND THIS IN ANROID MARKET !!! I use an HTC Hero. I would so like to get it because I currently play the game on an IPOD Touch, and since I an only play on wifi I can’t move around with the game and do jobs. This sucks since i have been looking since the day the message popped up in while playing the game, and annouced it’s arrival for Android… please, what’s the deal!

    i benched mark the 1million mark and now my app keeps forceclosing on me, unable to play???? i’ve seen other replies for this, will this be fixed, really was getting into the game which was beginning to be fun…and seriously dont wanna start all over from the beginning and only to reach that million again… can u PLEASE fix it…!!!

    Hey,
    So I have the Hero too, the app isnt in there i dont know if its becuase of the hero or if its becuase of sprints network. But my boss has it on her g1 with tmobile. Plz have this fixed and email me i need to get it. It doesnt seem like anyone with the hero has it can get it…

    BTW I have searched for hours for this app asked my boss how she downloaded it and scanned the barcode all multiple times it simply isnt there.

    Got the game a week or two ago on my Legend and it was working fine…but since yesterday I’ve only been able to buy stuff when connected to wifi…Selling doesn’t seem to be a problem though. Is it my phone (everything else seems to be working) or the game??
    Love it btw :)

    Does anyone know which type of video files are supported? I bear in mind the Intuition only could dl 3gp utilizing opera mini. I downloaded the twist ap, perhaps that’s the problem? How can I watch videos from websites apart from youtube? Which file sorts? Often I am given the option of 3gp or mpeg4. Can’t get either to work. Thanks to your time! Rattling I wish I was eligible for the upgrade to EVO!
